More than 108,000 evacuated in Kazakhstan floods

Almaty [Kazakhstan], April 15: Kazakhstan has evacuated more than 108,000 people since floods began in the Central Asian nation last month, its emergencies ministry said on Monday.
Almost 5,000 houses remain flooded, a ministry spokesman told a briefing, although nearly 12,000 people have returned to their homes.
