Opposition accuses AKP of delaying the vote count

Istanbul [Turkey], May 15: Turkey's main opposition party has accused President RecepTayyip Erdogan's ruling AKP of tactical manoeuvres during the vote count of the country's presidential and parliamentary elections.
The Islamic conservative AKP is intentionally challenging results in strongholds of the opposition, Istanbul Mayor EkremImamoglu from the opposition CHP said in Ankara on Sunday evening.
This was delaying the counting process, making initial results appear more favourable for the government party, he said.
Imamoglu said the AKP was on a downward trajectory according to the latest figures.
