10 patients evacuated for treatment in Jordan, US

New York [US], January 9: World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said his organisation and partners facilitated the medical evacuation of four patients and five companions to Jordan, as well as six child patients and five companions to the US.
He added that more than 12,000 others still needed to be evacuated for treatment abroad.
Tedros urged Israel to increase the approval rate for medical evacuations, expedite the process of approvals, as well as allow all possible corridors and border crossings to be used for safe medical evacuations.
