25 Ukrainian captives freed in swap with Russia

Kyiv [Ukraine], January 16: Twenty-five Ukrainians have been released in the latest prisoner exchange with Russia, the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War said on Wednesday.
Among those freed were military personnel, sailors and border guards, as well as a civilian.
All the released individuals were seriously ill or severely wounded, suffering from conditions such as tuberculosis, cancer, gangrene, vision loss, limb amputations, gunshot wounds, and explosive injuries.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a Telegram statement expressed gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for mediating the exchange.
