6.0-magnitude quake jolts adjacent sea of Japan's Amami Oshima Island: JMA

Tokyo [Japan], December 14: An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 struck off the adjacent waters of southwestern Japan's Amami Oshima Island, the weather agency here said Tuesday.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the temblor's epicenter was located at a latitude of 27.6 degrees north and a longitude of 129.5 degrees east, and occurred at a depth of 30 km.
