Al Arabi claim Qatar Cup basketball title for a fifth time

Doha [Qatar], April 17: Al Arabi defeated Al Shamal to win the Qatar Basketball Cup title for a fifth time in the club's history on Thursday. Al Arabi became champions again in the 13th edition of the Qatar Basketball Cup for 2025-26 season, after clinching the final against Al Shamal 77-71. The match hosted at the Al Gharafa Hall, marked Al Arabi's third consecutive triumph.
Mohammed bin Saad Al Mughaiseeb, President of Qatar Basketball Federation, His Excellency Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al Thani, President of Al Arabi Club, Abdullah Shamsan Al Sada, Vice President of Al Shamal Club, and Saadoun Sabah Al Kuwari, Secretary-General of the Qatar Basketball Federation, presented the trophy and gold medals to the champions along with a financial prize of QR600,000. Al Shamal received silver medals and a prize of QR400,000. (TNN)
