Al Rayyan beat Al Nahda 3-1 to top group in Gulf Club Champions League

Doha [Qatar], February 18: Al Rayyan defeated Oman's Al Nahda Club 3-1 at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Tuesday to top Group B and to qualify for the AGCFF Gulf Club Champions League 2025-26.
Al Rayyan dominated the game with Ahmed Alaaeldin (21st minute), Roger Guedes (56th minute), and Aleksandar Mitrovic (71st minute) being among the goal scorers.
Messouke Oloumou (64th minute) scored the consolation goal for Al Nahda.
The hosts moved into the lead when Alaaeldin headed a fine Mohamed Surag cross from the left. Guedes then doubled the lead early in the second session, striking diagonally from left outside of the box. Mitrovic added the team's third goal as he beat defenders after fetching an Alaaeldin cross.
For Al Nahda, Oloumou latched on to the ball following a defence lapse and later scored on a second attempt after the ball was cut off in front of the goal.
Al Rayyan finished with 12 points from six games with three wins and three draws, while Al Nahda slipped to third with 7 points, same as that of the second-placed Al Shabab Riyadh.
Top two teams from two groups made it to the last four of the tournament. Zakho club of Iraq and UAE's Al Ain made the grade from Group A.
