Bangalore (Karnataka) [India], November 2: Diwali is all about shared traditions and spending time with the people you love. For families spread across geographies, it can also bring a longing for the familiar moments, little rituals and cherished memories that once brought them together. This Diwali, Amazon India’s #DeliverTheLove campaign tells the story of Bittu, a young man who finds a small, unexpected way to tell his elder siblings just how much he misses them and the bond they share.

The film shows Bittu watching a young child being sent to fetch a bottle by his elder siblings while they light a rocket. This takes him back to his own childhood, when being the youngest meant being part of countless little moments, playful traditions and memories with his elder brother and sister. Now living apart from his siblings, Bittu sends each of them an empty glass bottle through Amazon, along with a handwritten note recalling their shared childhood memories.
Recognising the meaning behind his unusual gift, his siblings are reminded of the special bond they share and the memories that continue to connect them despite the distance. The story ends in a Diwali reunion, as the siblings come together once again, reinforcing how even the smallest gestures can bring families closer and create new memories to cherish.
At its core, #DeliverTheLove celebrates the idea that the most meaningful gift one can give is their presence. Through the familiar dynamics of sibling relationships, the campaign highlights how shared memories, thoughtful gestures and time together can bridge distances, rekindle cherished connections and make the festival of lights even more meaningful.
“As a brand, we know that we play a big role in our customers’ lives during the Diwali season with millions of customers choosing us for gifts and festive shopping. But the day of Diwali is, above all else, about your near and dear ones. So, we put our customers at the heart of this campaign by reminding them that the best Diwali gift is the one you can’t shop for anywhere, not even on Amazon and this is your presence at home.  We encourage them to Deliver The Love themselves because no Amazon box can hold the joy that their visit home will bring. I can imagine this campaign bringing a wistful smile to all siblings separated by space, hopefully nudging them to come together on Diwali”, Anuradha Aggarwal, Director – Marketing and Growth, Amazon India.
“Deliver the Love has always championed the idea of presence over presents. Recognising today’s social landscape, where families are increasingly spread across geographies, we built on this insight to spotlight what truly makes the festive season special: meaningful connections, a sense of belonging, and the joy of being together. Through the bond between siblings, we brought this thought to life, celebrating the enduring relationships that make every celebration feel like home’’, Anurag Agnihotri, Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy West.
The campaign’s message of prioritising presence over presents also extends beyond our screens to the arrival areas at the Delhi airport. The doorway through which loved ones arrive for Diwali is designed so they appear to step out of an Amazon package. It carries #DeliverTheLove to the reunion itself and reminds people that the best gift this Diwali is showing up. The activation encourages people to head home and spend time with their families.
Through this campaign, Amazon India encourages people to make the journey home for Diwali and be present for their loved ones, reminding them that the most meaningful present is their presence. Beyond the festivities, it is the time spent together, the memories shared and the moments cherished with family that makes Diwali truly special. This Diwali, #DeliverTheLove.
