Atletico Madrid midfielder Sanabria loaned to Mexican affiliate

Mexico City (Mexico) July 17: Atletico Madrid midfielder Juan Sanabria has joined affiliate club Atletico San Luis on a six-month loan, the Mexican outfit said on Friday.
The 21-year-old Uruguayan, who ended a loan spell with Spain's Real Zaragoza in June, will be available for Atletico San Luis's first match of the Liga MX Apertura season against Guadalajara on July 24.
"The Rojiblanca synergy is present. We are happy to name Juan Sanabria as our [new] signing. Welcome to the the Mexican family," Atletico San Luis said in a social media post.
Sanabria, who moved to Atletico Madrid from Montevideo side Nacional in 2018, becomes the second Uruguayan in Los Atleticos' squad, joining midfielder Facundo Waller.
Atletico San Luis finished 17th in the 18-team 2021 Liga MX Clausura campaign, which ran from January to May.
