'Big and beautiful' super bill passed by US House of Representatives

Washington [US], July 4: The spending and tax cut bill supported by US President Donald Trump has passed the House of Representatives and is now awaiting the White House's signature.
On July 3, the Republican- controlled US House of Representatives passed President Trump 's "Big, Beautiful Bill " with 218 votes in favor and 214 votes against.
According to The Guardian , only two Republican congressmen voted against the bill , for different reasons, demonstrating the ideological diversity in the party's fragile majority in the House of Representatives.
The two are fiscally conservative Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky, who has been criticized by Mr Trump for opposing his agenda, and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, who opposes cuts to the Medicaid health insurance program.
House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries extended the vote with a record-long speech in which he criticized provisions that would cut social security programs to offset the cost of making Mr Trump's tax cuts permanent.
Democrats have attacked the bill as "a total attack on the American people." Meanwhile, Democratic groups have pledged to vigorously criticize Republicans for supporting a bill that projections show will cause millions of Americans to lose their health insurance.
The bill was previously passed by the Senate and will now go to President Trump for his signature. The White House said Trump is expected to sign it at 5 p.m. EST on July 4, or the morning of July 5, Vietnam time.
On his way to Iowa for a rally on July 3, President Trump told reporters that he was planning an air show over the White House on July 4 to celebrate the signing of a major tax and spending bill that was just passed by the House of Representatives, according to The Guardian .
"We're going to have B-2s, F-22s and F-35s flying right over the White House. So we're going to have beautiful airplanes flying right over our heads," Trump said.
President Trump also said he would invite all members of the House and Senate to attend. "Together, we will celebrate our country's Independence Day, and the beginning of our new golden age," Trump wrote in a post on the Truth Social platform.
