Bus accident in Germany, many casualties

Berlin [Germany], March 28: The bus carrying about 55 people ran off the road for unknown reasons in an accident near the German city of Leipzig.
Police in the eastern German state of Saxony announced that at least 5 people died in an intercity bus accident near the city of Leipzig on March 27.
Rescue helicopters and many ambulances appeared at the scene, located on the A9 highway connecting Berlin with Munich. The route was blocked in both directions, according to DW.
"Many people were injured and died in a serious accident on the A9 highway. There were many casualties," Saxony police announced on social network X (formerly known as Twitter). Many other people were also injured. According to preliminary information, the bus ran off the highway for unknown reasons and crashed on the side of the road.
The car belonging to the transport company Flixbus was carrying about 53 passengers and 2 drivers, on the way from Berlin to Zurich (Switzerland), according to Reuters.
"The exact circumstances of the accident are unknown," Flixbus company announced and said it was working with emergency forces to find out the cause.
