China calls for non-interference in Iran amidst protests and Trump threats

Beijing [China], January 13: China has responded to the protests in Iran and the statements by US President Donald Trump about possible intervention with a call for non-interference.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said in Beijing on Monday that China opposes interference in the internal affairs of other states and rejects the use or threat of force in international relations.
Beijing hopes that the government and people of Iran can overcome the current difficulties and maintain national stability, she said. (DPA)
