Costa Rica confirms March friendlies against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mexico

San Jose (US), January 21: Costa Rica will play international friendlies against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Mexico in March as part of the Central American team's preparations for the CONCACAF Nations League.
The clash with Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zenica on March 27 will be followed by a duel with Mexico at a yet-to-confirmed venue in Europe three days later, the Costa Rican football federation (Fedefutbol) said in a statement on Wednesday
"We want to provide continuity by building on November's [friendly against Qatar] to establish a stable and settled team," Costa Rica head coach Ronald Gonzalez said.
The Nations League semifinals have been scheduled for June, with Costa Rica drawn to play Mexico and Honduras to face the United States.
The CONCACAF Gold Cup will be held in July and the final stage of the CONCACAF zone 2022 World Cup qualifiers is slated to begin in September.
