Israel begins a wave of strikes on Hezbollah posts in southern Lebanon

Beirut [Lebanon] / Tel Aviv [Israel], September 19: The Israeli military said on Thursday it had begun a wave of strikes against "Hezbollah military targets" in southern Lebanon. The heaviest strikes were reported in Dibine, where thick plumes of smoke covered large areas.
Earlier, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) issued warnings urging residents to stay away from four buildings ahead of imminent airstrikes. "The IDF will attack military infrastructure belonging to the terrorist Hezbollah throughout southern Lebanon in response to its prohibited attempts to rebuild its activities in the area," said spokesman Avichay Adraee on X. Lebanese sources said some residential houses were also affected. (DPA)
