Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 28: MentalMind, a nonprofit providing AI-assisted emotional support for students, has received approval for a ₹2 crore grant, according to the foundation. The organisation plans to develop its platform further and expand its outreach in educational institutions, with accessibility remaining a focus of its work.
Registered as a Section 8 nonprofit, MentalMind reports more than 56,000 student interactions and says its initiative has helped over 10,000 students. Its platform offers a space for students to discuss everyday concerns through AI-assisted conversations and access resources for their wellbeing.
Much of its development has involved the practical details of making an online service usable. Students can access the platform anonymously, and its design accommodates slower mobile connections, including 2G networks. Recovery features are intended to help users continue interrupted conversations. Together, these features address circumstances in which maintaining a steady connection or creating a named account can make a service harder to access.

Attention has also gone into how the conversations unfold. The system is designed to recognise what a student is asking for, shape follow-up questions around the exchange and adjust its conversational pacing. Student feedback has informed revisions to the service as the team continues to develop its interface and responses.
According to the foundation, MentalMind has also undergone review and received an endorsement from the Chief Medical Officer. The organisation describes the platform as a supplementary, non-clinical wellbeing resource. Its intended role is to provide emotional support and access to information; diagnosis and treatment remain matters for qualified professionals.
The initiative was founded by Suyash Verma, a recent school graduate from Jabalpur who serves as its CEO and lead developer. Verma built the platform’s interface and backend, handled its deployment and developed its conversational logic. Working with two collaborators, he has continued revising the service in response to student feedback while coordinating the nonprofit’s operations.
The foundation’s funding proposal sets out plans for platform development and maintenance, self-help tools, educational content and resource directories that can direct students towards further support. It also includes awareness work in educational institutions. The planned expansion would give students more ways to access information and support alongside the platform’s individual conversations.

Leadership in the Age of Digital Transformation: Why Strategic Tech Fluency Is Now Essential

New Delhi [India], October 28: Organisations across industries are investing heavily in artificial intelligence, analytics, automation and digital platforms, yet the returns remain uneven. A 2025 McKinsey study found that only 16 % of digital transformation initiatives succeed in delivering sustained performance improvements, despite widespread adoption of advanced technologies. At the same time, Gartner reports that 65 % of organisations now regularly use generative AI in decision-making, signalling that access to technology is no longer the constraint. The disconnect lies elsewhere.
