Dec 28, 2024

Beirut [Lebanon], December 28: Lebanese security forces on Friday arrested 67 Syrian nationals for illegally entering Lebanon, along with a Lebanese bus driver who was transporting them, the official National News Agency (NNA) reported.
According to NNA, among the arrestees are women and children, including an infant no older than 40 days.
Relevant judiciary bodies were investigating the incident to determine the appropriate actions against those arrested.
Syria has experienced political upheaval as a militant coalition led by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group toppled former President Bashar al-Assad's government earlier this month, prompting many Syrians to flee to Lebanon.
