Maccabi Tel Aviv signs sponsorship deal with Chinese carmaker BYD

Jerusalem [Israel], December 3: Israeli Europa League club Maccabi Tel Aviv announced on Monday that it has signed a sponsorship deal with Chinese car company BYD Auto through the brand's official importer in Israel, Shlomo Motors.
According to the agreement, the BYD logo will be featured on the sleeve of the official kit worn by the Israeli league champion.
"We are delighted to welcome BYD as a new sponsor, Israel's leading electric vehicle provider and a global leader in new energy vehicle sales," Maccabi Tel Aviv's CEO, Ben Mansford, said.
Data released by the Israeli Vehicle Importers Association on Monday revealed that BYD Auto, which entered the Israeli market in September 2022, currently leads electric car sales in Israel this year, having sold 16,443 units from January to November.
