New Zealand PM congratulates newly elected leaders of Australia, Singapore

Wellington [New Zealand], May 4: New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon on Sunday congratulated Anthony Albanese and Lawrence Wong on their recent election victories in Australia and Singapore.
Luxon said he had spoken with both leaders to offer his congratulations and reaffirm close ties.
He described Australia as New Zealand's closest ally, stressing the importance of cooperation on regional security, economic ties, and global challenges.
Luxon also highlighted Singapore as a key partner in Southeast Asia, expressing a strong commitment to working together on shared regional and international issues.
"Both Australia and Singapore are indispensable partners for New Zealand," Luxon said, adding he is committed to enhancing New Zealand's cooperation with both countries.
