Paramedics treat hundreds of ravers at Berlin techno parade

Jul 14, 2025

Berlin [Germany], July 14: Firefighters and paramedics treated several hundred people during Berlin's Rave the Planet techno parade on Saturday, according to the local fire department and the event's organizers. Volunteers took more than 50 people to hospital on Saturday evening, some with serious injuries, a fire department spokesman said. The organizer's medical service also said it treated "several hundred patients," working closely with the fire department. The fire department spokesman said most cases involved "classic event symptoms," such as alcohol or drug-related conditions. In several cases, people were in a serious, even life-threatening, state, he said. Rave the Planet's director TimmZeiss said there were fewer medical emergencies at Saturday's parade than there were at last year's event thanks to the cooler temperatures and lower visitor numbers.
