S.Korea reports 62,472 new COVID-19 cases

Seoul [South Korea], November 9: South Korea reported 62,472 new COVID-19 cases as of midnight Tuesday compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 25,981,655, the health authorities said Wednesday.
The daily caseload was up from 62,273 in the previous day and higher than 54,737 tallied a week earlier, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA).
For the past week, the daily average number of new cases was 44,475.
Among the new cases, 42 were imported from overseas, lifting the total to 70,221.
The number of infected people who were in critical condition stood at 336, down 24 from the previous day.
Fifty-nine more deaths were confirmed, leaving the death toll at 29,479.
