Geneva [Switzerland], September 1: Swiss police have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting at a rave at the weekend that left a 22-year-old Italian woman dead and five others injured.
The suspect is a 43-year-old Swiss national, police said on Monday, adding that investigators believe he acted alone. "Investigations into the exact sequence of events, as well as the background and possible motive, are currently under way," the police said.
Contrary to earlier statements, police added that no further information would be released for now. They also said that they do not plan to hold another press conference before 2pm (1200 GMT) on Wednesday. A manhunt was launched after the shooting early on Sunday at a horse-racing track in the town of Aarau. Five people aged between 24 and 31 were injured, including a German woman. (DPA)
