Feb 17, 2026

Hanoi [Vietnam], February 17: Actor and model Tran Le Vinh Dam has recently garnered attention after being chosen by director and producer Tran Thanh for the lead male role in the Lunar New Year film "Tho Oi" (Oh, Little Rabbit). Following this film, he has been announced to participate in a new film project in the spiritual/mysterious genre: " BUS: A One-Way Journey."
Born in 2004, and possessing an impressive height of nearly 1.9 meters, Vinh Dam originally started as a model before entering the field of acting. The fact that Tran Thanh entrusted him with the lead role in a major film project for Tet (Lunar New Year) surprised the public. However, along with the attention came controversies surrounding the actor's past statements.
Prior to the film's release, some of Vinh Dam's old statements on social media were unearthed, causing mixed reactions. The incident led to a wave of criticism for the young actor. Subsequently, Vinh Dam officially apologized, admitted his mistakes, and expressed his desire to correct them and become more mature in his profession.
Ignoring the controversy, Tran Thanh defended his choice, stating that he evaluates actors based on their suitability for the role and their potential for development. Therefore , "Tho Oi" is not only a Lunar New Year film for Tran Thanh but also a significant "test" for Vinh Dam as he takes on his first leading role in a major commercial project.
BUS: A One-Way Journey is a spiritual film directed by Luk Vân. The film explores a mysterious bus, believed to carry restless souls. The gloomy atmosphere, mystical colors, and psychological-supernatural elements are considered the highlights of the work.
Sharing her thoughts on the new film, director Luk Vân said that since childhood she has always wondered what happens to people after they die, where they go, and who will receive them... Therefore, she made this spiritual film, depicting journeys of the deceased to their final resting place.
In the film, Vinh Dam stars alongside Phi Phuong Anh. Compared to his youthful and energetic image in "Tho Oi ," this new role requires him to portray deeper inner emotions and more complex psychological transformations.
His consecutive appearances in two film projects show that Vinh Dam is making significant progress on the big screen. Despite facing many challenges and pressure from public opinion, the young actor is gradually establishing himself through his seriousness and determination in pursuing his art.
