Istanbul [Turkey], August 5: At least three crew members have been seriously injured in a drone attack that hit a Turkish freighter ship in the Black Sea, government officials said on Monday.
The Nadeschda vessel was struck some 20 nautical miles (37 kilometres) from the Russian port of Novorossiysk while it had been en route to Samsun in Turkiye, the Turkish Directorate General of Maritime Affairs was quoted as saying by local media.
The authority did not say who was behind the attack. Turkish media, citing the vessel's captain, reported that several Ukrainian drones had attacked the ship, which was sailing under the flag of Cameroon.
