Tunisian FM vows to strengthen cooperation with AU development agency

Tunis [Tunisia], March 26: Tunisian Foreign Minister Nabil Ammar on Monday vowed to strengthen the common and efficient African action and further bolster the institutions of the African Union.
During a meeting with Nardos Bekele-Thomas, the chief executive officer of the African Union Development Agency-New Partnership for Africa's Development (AUDA-NEPAD), Ammar reiterated Tunisia's commitment to strengthening its cooperation with the agency and its wish to benefit from the diverse programs and projects undertaken by AUDA-NEPAD, according to a statement released by the Tunisian foreign ministry.
Ammar also underlined the important role of the agency in mobilizing resources to support member states and African regional organizations in implementing development projects, as well as providing consultation services and technical assistance.
Bekele-Thomas outlined the agency's most important projects underway across the African continent and highlighted various initiatives launched by the agency.
She also expressed the agency's willingness to explore ways to enhance cooperation with Tunisia, according to the statement.
