Ukrainian troops under pressure in Russia's Kursk

Mar 03, 2025

Kiev [Ukraine], March 3: Ukrainian troops are increasingly under pressure in the western Russian region of Kursk, military bloggers have reported.
Russian forces are taking control of key supply routes for Kiev's units in the region, the Ukrainian military blog DeepState said on Sunday. "For some reason, the appropriate decisions have not been made by our side to resolve this problem," the report said, arguing that urgent measures are needed.
Ukraine launched a counteroffensive in Kursk in August in an effort to relieve pressure on its own eastern front and to secure a stronghold ahead of peace negotiations.
Moscow has repeatedly said it will retake the region, where it has deployed North Korean troops to fight Ukrainian forces. Nevertheless, Ukraine has managed to hold on to dozens of villages, including the key town of Suzha.
"The worst case scenario would be for Russian troops to advance directly to the outskirts of Suzha," Deep State wrote. (DPA)
