Gujarat CM to inaugurate ‘Saputara Megh Malhar Parv’ to boost eco-tourism and tribal economy

Dang (Gujarat), July 25 (ANI): Dang district of Gujarat, known for its eco-tourism, is fully prepared for the Megh Malhar Parv 2025, starting from July 26. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the festival. Considered a significant initiative to promote tourism and tribal development in the region, the festival has grown into a major attraction for both tourists and cultural enthusiasts alike. Known for its scenic waterfalls and dense forests, Gujarat’s Dang district has witnessed a steady rise in tourist footfall every monsoon. According to official figures, Tourist footfall in Saputara rose from 8.16 lakh in 2022 to 11.67 lakh in 2024, with Dang district overall seeing a jump from 10.40 lakh to 26.91 lakh. The annual ‘Saputara Megh Malhar Parv’ also highlights tribal culture through folk dances, music, and art—celebrating the bond between nature and tradition. With strong government backing, the event promotes inclusive growth and rural prosperity.
