At least 7 killed in road accident in west Bolivia

La Paz [Bolivia], June 1: At least seven people were killed and several others were injured when a truck collided head-on with a bus on a road connecting west Bolivian cities of El Alto and Copacabana on Friday, local police said.
Colonel Jesus Bejarano with the transit department told reporters that the dump truck broke into the lane where the bus was circulating in the town of Vilaque, on a route that links El Alto with tourist destinations such as Tiquina and Copacabana.
The injured were taken to different health centers in El Alto for medical treatment.
Road accident experts are working to determine the causes of the accident and whether the driver of the dump truck was under the influence of alcohol.
