Madrid [Spain], October 11: Anthony Gordon's first Barcelona goal, scored in the second minute, set the La Liga leaders on their way to a comfortable 3-0 win over Getafe at the Nou Camp.
England winger Gordon had again impressed for Thomas Tuchel's side over the international break and his deflected strike fired Barça ahead inside 80 seconds on Saturday.
Gabriel Jesus added a second on the half-hour after Getafe were caught playing out from the back.
Jules Kounde knocked in a late third as Hansi Flick's side closed out an eighth league win to maintain their perfect start to the new campaign in all competitions.
Barcelona, without captain Raphinha as his thigh problem over the international break is being carefully managed, raced into an early lead in the second minute.
Gordon - who completed a move from Newcastle in the last window - picked the ball up just outside the penalty area and cut inside a couple of Getafe defenders before drilling in a low shot from 18 metres, which deflected past David Soria.
Getafe goalkeeper Soria had to then be alert to push Dani Olmo's touch behind following another dangerous ball in from the left by Gordon in the 16th minute before Eric Garcia sent in a low strike from 20 yards which was pushed away.
When Getafe did finally venture forward midway through the first half, Ivan Azon's shot from outside the box was safely gathered by Joan Garcia, back in the Barcelona side after injury.
Barcelona made it 2-0 in the 30th minute.
Getafe defender Zaid Romero tried to play his way out of a congested penalty area, but was tackled at the edge of the box and the ball fell to Jesus who set himself before rolling a low shot into the far corner.
Romero's evening was then brought to an end after going down with what looked like a thigh problem and was replaced by Abdel Abqar in the 37th minute.
Lamine Yamal sent an ambitious volley wide after a corner was played out to the right side of the penalty area just before half-time.
Getafe looked to regroup for the second half, with Johan Mojica sending his left-footed shot from outside the Barça penalty area just wide.
Barca, though, were soon back on the front foot themselves, with Xavi Espart playing in Olmo, whose low strike was pushed away by Soria.
Yamal helped set up Barça's third with 15 minutes left when his looping cross was knocked in by Kounde, the goal given following a VAR review for a possible foul in what was a crowded penalty area.

Instagram is sorry it gave users too much Creed

New York [US], October 11: Creed is, to most people, a band that represents one particular moment: the turn of the millennium, when it was one of the biggest musical acts in the world and its 1999 stadium-sized anthem "Higher" - which, as many people found out later, was mostly about Jesus - was inescapable on rock radio.
