Hat-trick hero already on Drua radar

Washington [US], August 24: Suva Grammar School Under-18 coach Epeli Osborne believes player-of-the-match Viliame Daurua's hat-trick performance in the Vodafone Deans final is no surprise, given the young hooker's work ethic and commitment.
Daurua produced a standout display in Grammar's title-winning victory, crossing the tryline three times and playing a key role in ending the school's 21-year wait for the Under-18 crown.
Osborne revealed that Daurua is already part of the Fijian Drua Academy, alongside several other members of the championship-winning squad.
"Vili Daurua is already part of the Drua Academy. There are a couple of boys in the squad that are part of the group."
The Grammar coach described Daurua as one of the hardest-working players in the side and said his performances are backed up by the numbers.
"Vili is a hardworking hooker. We're big on numbers and Vili's numbers are second to none."
Osborne says the statistics collected by the coaching staff consistently highlight Daurua's influence around the field.
"I can vouch for them because of his position as a hooker and what he does around the whole field."
With a Deans title, a player-of-the-match performance and a place in the Drua Academy already to his name, Daurua is emerging as one of the young forwards to watch in Fiji rugby.
